VCU penetrated William and Mary’s defense Sunday at Sports Backer Stadium, but failed to net any field goals, allowing the Tribe to outscore the Rams 1-0. The Rams’ aggressive offense dominated the first half, pressing through the Tribe’s defensive wall and maintaining control of the field.

days without a home match proved to be exactly what the Rams needed.
The team downed Howard and then UNC Wilmington on Oct. 12, both
without dropping a game. But the run came to an end Saturday night when
the Rams fell to the Georgia State Panthers, 3-1.

The 100 uninvited teenagers found out about the 16th birthday party after its details were posted on YouTube. The teens stole whiskey and champagne, smashed windows and started fights.

Looking for a good scare? If you are older than 10, Busch Gardens’ Howl- O-Scream might not be the place for you. Howl-O-Scream’s main draw, Jack, who is featured in almost all the amusement park’s ads cackling as menacingly as possible, is back. But he’s not running wildly through the park, decapitating patrons and laughing with glee – no, Jack is bustin’ a move to ABBA’s “Dancing Queen,” among other disco songs that have horrifyingly not died with disco.
Grace Street Festival brings culture, crowds to campus
Aromas of cotton candy and exotic food waft through the air as the sounds of funky Afro-Caribbean jazz enliven the block. This was the scene Saturday when the School of World Studies transformed the 900 block of West Grace Street into a celebration of international culture for the fourth annual Grace Street Festival.

When walking through the VCUarts Anderson Gallery, most people are struck by the brightly colored patterns that adorn the traditional Mayan clothing hanging on the walls. Domitila Curuchich, a master Guatemalan weaver, said she feels sad when she sees them.

Text messages might as well be mandatory
Last month’s campus siren test was intended to keep students abreast of emergency procedures. Instead, we found out that most of us don’t take emergency preparedness seriously. Now, school officials are considering making the emergency cell phone text messages mandatory (see article on Page 3).
