Though many are now tending to severe burns, the village leaders behind the boiling oil practice have been arrested.

After the Animal Services Department in Los Angeles, issued a permit for a spray-painted elephant to appear at an art exhibit on Thursday, the city agency is now saying that it will no longer be issuing such permits for future events because “it sends a very wrong message that abusing animals is not only OK, (but) it’s an art form.”

Though the title currently belongs to Kim Goodman of Chicago, who can pop her eyeballs 11 millimeters. Pinto, who previously used his eye popping skills at his last job at a commercial haunted house, says he’s ready to receive some recognition for his skill.

Killer kite flying

A 30-year-old man from Gloucestershire, England, was flying a kite 200 yards from a cliff at Blackstone Point, Noss Mayo, when he accidentally stepped backward off the edge of the cliff. After Coastguards were called by a passerby, a rescue helicopter airlifted the man to a nearby hospital, where he was then declared dead.
